June Arthy

Its Never Too Late For A Good Life

June Arthy’s life was turned upside down when she left home at the age of 13. She lived in an institution for over 40 years and then became lost in the abusive private hostel system. With no one in her life and about to be locked away forever, a committed advocate saved her and with vision, values and a committed group of people, June set up her own home. June has since reconnected with family and friends. She enjoys having friends over for a meal, going to concerts and participating in community life. June’s story illustrates that it’s never too late to think about what makes a good life, even when things appear hard!
